ABOUT THE DISTRICT
Issues
Rural Revitalization
The strength of our communities is the agriculture industry and every effort should be made to protect their interests. The local businesses, which are vital and provide so much energy to our small towns, must also be supported.
Education
It is our responsibility to educate our children for their future in Kansas. We must adequately fund our schools while remaining open-minded to new ideas for cost savings.
Health Care
The future of healthcare is blurry for all of us, but we must remain clear in our vision of excellence for healthcare in North Central Kansas. Our hospitals must seek innovative ways to survive in a world of Medicare cost cuts. We need to be cognizant of the morale of our healthcare professionals in an ever-changing work environment. Finally, we must make every effort to recruit and retain physicians in our rural communities.
